PDX Zine Symposium

Join dozens of Portland's self-publishers for the 10th annual PDX Zine Symposium from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday at the Peter W. Stott Main Gym at Portland State University. In addition to the many tables where zinesters will be selling their wares – in addition to comics, how-to guides, memoirs, political action guides and other literature, there are often other homemade things – a number of workshops will be held throughout the weekend.
From bookbinding, silkscreening and storytelling lectures to panels on feminist self-defense, the police state and yoga, the lectures cover a number of topics close to the heart of the DIY community. A full list of workshops and more information about the symposium can be found at www.pdxzines.com.
