As Stumptown Stages reopens at the Portland’5 Centers for the Arts Winningstad Theatre, all hands are on deck to bring the magic of musical theatre back again.

“Bojangles of Harlem” tells the true-life story of Bill “Bojangles” Robinson, a pioneer of tap dance and civil rights. The musical score mixes new showstoppers with classic standards such as “Stormy Weather.”  Jarran Muse is featured as Bojangles.

Other BROADWAY/NYC credits include: Ain’t Too Proud, White Christmas, Dreamgirls at the Apollo Theater. National/International Tours: American Idiot, 42nd Street, and Hairspray.

Directed by Christopher George Patterson (Broadway’s Dance Assistant on “Disney’s The Lion King”) the show features a cast of 10 amazing singer/tap-dancers: Jarran Muse (Bojangles); Jermarcus Riggins (Young Bo), Jason Bush (Honi), Raphael Likes (Simms), Jared Lingle (Buster), Gabriel Lawson (Bubba), Shelese Lawson (Chink), Voni Kengla (Curley), Stacey Haughton (Sammy), and Victoria Holt (Cookie).
