The The Portland Winter Light Festival (PWLF) will be held Thursday, Feb. 1 - Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 on the grounds surrounding Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). This free four-day event includes rides on the Portland Spirit and Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler, illuminated and interactive art and science displays, performances by Portland Opera, stiltwalkers, jugglers, marching band, dance music and more. The Portland Winter Light Festival, is a Willamette Light Brigade event presented by Portland General Electric (PGE), hosted at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). This outdoor event is free. If you are visiting OMSI, an admission fee will be charged. Visit their website for hours and pricing.

This nighttime community-supported event generates critical opportunities for artists, designers, creatives, makers and performers to collectively expand art, performance and technology innovations in our region.

Location

The Festival illuminates the grounds surrounding Portland’s famed OMSI and is situated at the east end of the new Tilikum Crossing Bridge and along the prominent Eastbank Esplanade offering breathtaking views of downtown Portland’s cityscape from across the Willamette River.

Attendees are encouraged to consider taking public transportation to the popular event. Parking is limited and the event is very centrally located for streetcar, light rail, bus route and bike path access. View more information on getting there.
