oregon zoo vet turtleThe above image from the Oregon Zoo's Facebook page was taken in their Veterinary Medical Center. A western pond turtle is shown as it gets ready to return to the wild. The public can now go behind the scenes to meet animals and connect with the Oregon Zoo’s animal care staff. Tune in for new videos every week on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/oregonzoo or watch on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/user/oregonzoo.

After each live video, go to their website at https://www.oregonzoo.org for at-home ideas to learn more about these animals and how to help them. The activities, developed by their award-winning education team, are aimed at children ages K–5 (but they invite animal lovers of all ages to join in the fun.)

The zoo relies on public support to operate, even when closed. The biggest way to make a difference right now is to become a member, renew your membership or make a donation.
