Chemeketa Community College in Salem is offering a Leadership Institute designed for people who have formal or informal leadership roles at work or in the community.
Offered by the college's Training and Economic Development Center, the institute focuses on the development of exceptional interpersonal and conceptual skills needed to be an effective leader. Each seminar is interactive and results-oriented.
Those taking the classes range from new supervisors needing basic skills through executive managers seeking to hone existing skills.
The fall series of classes, which runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 7 to Dec. 7, offers seminars in employee recognition, coaching the team to success, resolving performance problems and leadership secrets.
Cost is $125 for each course. The fee includes seminar materials and a book.
