The deadline to register to vote in Oregon is Oct. 18. Those who still need to register to vote can do so online at or in person at the county elections office.

Residents who are new to Oregon, have not had recent contact with the DMV or for other reasons are not sure they are currently registered to vote can check their status online at  – or call their county elections official to check on their current status. (In Multnomah County, the number is 503-988-3720; in Clackamas, it’s 503-655-8510; and in Washington, 503-846-5800).

Washington's deadline for online registration has passed, but residents have until Oct. 31 to register in person. Washington residents can check their registration on the Secretary of State's website. To get information about registering in person, call 1-800-448-4881 or email elections@sos.wa.gov.

Washington ballots must be postmarked by election day – or can be dropped at a dropbox by 8 p.m. on election day.
