As crocuses bloom and thoughts turn to the outdoors, registration for Seattle Parks and Recreation's spring youth sports activities is getting under way at West Seattle and South Park community centers.
Teams are forming for participation in girls softball, track and field, and Westside Nerf Soccer, and for these educational sports programs:
 
Southwest Community Center offers a Preschool Sports Spectacular class for 3 to 5 year olds, Short Shots Basketball for 6 to 7 year olds, Double Dutch for 7 to 12 year olds, instructional Volleyball for 11 to 18 year olds and a Volleyball League for 10 to 16 year olds.  Info: 2801 SW Thistle St., 206-684-7438.

High Point Community Center is offering a variety of tennis classes for children ages 4 to 12.  Info: 6920 34th Ave. SW, 206-684-7422.

Alki Community Center also offers a variety of tennis classes for youth ages 8 to 16. Info: 5817 SW Stevens St., 684-7430.

Delridge Community Center is offering a Little All Stars class for 3 to 5 year olds class and a Little Kickers class for 4 to 7 year olds. Info: 4501 Delridge Way SW, 206-684-7423.

Hiawatha Community Center offers UK Elite Soccer for 3 to 5 year olds, Short Shots Basketball for 6 and 7 year olds, and tennis for 8 to 12 year olds. Info: 2700 California Ave. SW, 206-684-7441.

South Park Community Center is offering T-Ball for 5-7 year olds. Info: 8319 8th Ave. SW, 206-684-7451.
