The Columbia City Gallery will be opening two concurrent exhibits on April 15.

In the Guest Gallery, Survey: Youth Art. This exhibit highlights works created by Seattle youth from three programs, Art with Heart, East African Art & Cultural Association Youth Group, and Youth in Focus. Each of these programs uses art to inspire, teach, heal and connect inner-city kids.

In the Main Gallery, Biota: (n) the flora and fauna of a region. This show features gallery artists Rick Duque and Drew Forsell, Cathy Fields, Lin Holley, Jim Madara, and Denise Takahashi who paint and sculpt flora and fauna.

The Artists' Reception is Saturday, April 18, 5 - 8 pm. This event is free and the public is encouraged to attend. Both exhibits run April 15 – May 24, 2009.

, in historic Columbia City. The Columbia City Gallery is an artists' cooperative and a program of SEEDArts. The gallery receives support from 4Culture, the Mayor's Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs, and the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation.
