As Southeast Cesar Chavez Boulevard is closed for an expected 21 days for sewer repairs, motorists are warned to stick with the detour routes and not try cutting through residential neighborhoods.

Report: Artharee strayed off course. Punishment: A week without pay and he must take city policy training

A memorial service was held at Maranatha Church on Northeast 12th Avenue Friday, to celebrate the short life of a baby found dead at the North Portland recycling center May 29.  Baby Precious weighed 5 lbs and was hours or days old when she died. Her parents are unknown.

The infant girl was found dead at a recycling center May 28

A memorial service will be held Friday morning for "Baby Precious" who was found dead May 28 at the North Portland Recycling Center. The service will be held at 11 a.m. at Maranatha Church, 4222 Northeast 12th Ave. After that the baby will be interred at Riverview Cemetery, 0300 Southwest Taylors Ferry Road.
