Alexander Morris filed a lawsuit Monday against Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren. He is claiming racial discrimination and other misconduct during a 2023 visit for chest pain and breathing problems. Morris says staff assumed he was mentally ill when he revealed his celebrity status.

There is no indication that patients have been denied emergency abortions in Washington, but Inslee said during a news conference in Seattle he wanted to remove any doubt that hospitals were required to provide those services if necessary.

Mark Fuhrman is now 72 and he retired from the LAPD in the 1990s. Fuhrman, who is white, was one of the first two police detectives sent to investigate the 1994 killings of Simpson’s ex-wife and her friend. Fuhrman was charged with perjury and pleaded no contest in 1996.

Seriously overdue credit card debt is at the highest level in more than a decade, and people 35 and under are struggling more than other age groups to pay their bills. The share of credit card debt that’s more than 90 days overdue rose to 10.7% during the first quarter of 2024, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
