Obituary: Wallace Hicks Jr., July 19, 1950 - March 3, 2023

Wallace Hicks Jr. passed away peacefully on March 3, 2023. Most if his friends knew him as "Joseph the Barber," but he was fondly known as "Junie" by his family. Wallace was born July 19, 1950 in Gulfport, Mississippi to the late Gladys and Wallace Hicks sr. He was the first son and eldest of 13 siblings born to this great union.

He will be greatly missed and leaves many memories that will be cherished by his partner Jackie White, sisters: Henrietta Browning, Amelia Edwards, Zerelda Aliano, Gladys Hicks, Eunice Talley, Susie Perry, and brothers: Jonathan Hicks, Derrick Hicks, and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Viewing will be held at Ross Hollywood Chapel, 4733 NE Thompson St. Portland, Ore., March 18, 2023, 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral at 2:00 p.m.

Celebration of Life will be held at Shiloh Inn Airport, 11707 NE Airport Way, Portland, Ore. at 4:00 p.m.
