Former Sen. Margaret Carter is urging us all to join her in getting out the vote this November. She says:

"As I sit here listening to the news I am appalled by President Trump’s continuing efforts to limit the ability of people to vote, disgusted, but not surprised, at his sexist and racist attacks of Kamala Harris, and flabbergasted by the fact that Kanye West is continuing his Republican-baked effort to get on the ballot in a number of states.

"Black people have borne the brunt of President Trump’s negative rhetoric and policies for nearly four years. And now we are bearing the brunt of the greatest pandemic in the modern era.

"This election is a choice between four more years of Trump and Pence and restoring the soul of our country with President Biden and Vice President Harris. The bottom line is that anyone—especially in a battleground state—who casts a vote for Kanye is helping Donald Trump.

"In our total memories of John Lewis and the Freedom Fighters over the past 100 years, please join me in getting out the Vote.

"Our freedom, our integrity and the future of our children’s wellbeing, along with our Democracy, are at stake!"

Margaret Carter
