The Bachelor of Social Work program at Portland State University’s School of Social Work invites applications for an Assistant Professor tenure-track position.
The position is a nine-month, full-time academic appointment. Our program seeks candidates with experience and capacity to teach across the BSW curriculum. Successful candidates may also be asked to teach courses in our partnering unit, the School of Gender, Race, and Nations (SGRN). Successful candidates will facilitate the growth of undergraduate community-based research and social work practice in the region. Candidates are expected to maintain an active scholarly agenda. All research areas will be considered, although we especially seek candidates who specialize in immigration; addictions; environmental justice; disability; gerontology; global/international social work; and research with, for, and/or by Native/Indigenous or Black/African American communities.
