(CNN) -- We've heard plenty about the rumored feud between new "American Idol" judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey, but now TMZ appears to have captured some evidence.

The website's obtained video of "Idol's" Tuesday auditions in Charlotte, N.C., which were reportedly interrupted when Minaj blew up at Carey at the judges' table.

It's hard to hear exactly what Minaj is saying in the clip, but TMZ reports that at one point Minaj can be heard saying, "I told them, I'm not f*****g putting up with your f*****g highness over there ... Figure it the f*** out."

The site reports that the disagreement happened over a contestant's performance, with "Idol's" third new judge, Keith Urban, stuck in the middle.

"There was a very heated, intense argument towards the end of the day," "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest said on his radio show Wednesday. "I was outside with the contestant's family at the time. Both of these judges, as I have said before, come with different perspective[s]. Nicki's got a specific perspective about what's playing and hot on the chart right now. Mariah has got that iconic experience and that legend status, being one of the greatest singers alive. ... [Y]ou're going to have different opinions, which is fantastic."

That said, those different viewpoints "went a little far" yesterday. "It was heated, it did go too far, to the point where the producers said with just a few more contestants left, let's call it a day," Seacrest recalled.

Gossip of a feud between Carey and Minaj surfaced before the colorful rapper even officially signed on to "Idol," and the two gave an attempt to squash the rumors at a press conference in September.

"We're getting along wonderfully, darling," Minaj told press at the time, while Carey joked that a feud wasn't possible because they simply hadn't had enough time to stir one up.

"How are we going to feud in two days?!" she said with a laugh. "Like, a feud takes a little longer to ... you know, spread out."

Fox had no comment on the video, and CNN has yet to hear back from representatives for Minaj or Carey.
