Mothers Day Reunion Brings Mary Lawrence Guthrie to Portland

A longtime Portland resident returned last weekend to attend a family Mothers Day celebration. Mary Lawrence Guthrie is 84 years old, but that didn't stop her from heading north from Rome Georgia, to visit her children: Martha, Ruth, Carol, Jeanette, Jonathan, David, Paul and James. A longtime resident of Portland she left in 1999 to live in Georgia. Here, she is pictured at center with her daughters Ruthie Carter, left, and Martha Lawrence, right.
