PassinArt: A Theatre Company and The Pacific Northwest Multi-Cultural (PNMC) Readers Series & Film Festival invite writers and filmmakers to submit their work for consideration. Artists' work will be reviewed by local and national industry professionals.
The PNMC Festival is an inclusive multicultural festival that gives space and highlights the artistry of the under-represented playwright, filmmaker, and actor. Its goal is to provide an artistic and professional environment where under-represented artists can showcase their works to the general public and each other.
The festival provides platforms for artists in these dynamic populations to showcase their scripts and films. Also, festival attendees can attend workshops presented by industry professionals; panel discussions and conversations with film and/or theatre professionals. The 2023 theme is Celebrating Our Differences Together.
Festival Co-Chairs are Javon Johnson (Actor, Director/Theatre and Film, and Producer) and Bobby Yan (7-time Emmy Award Winning Director).
The festival celebrates outstanding storytellers of Color and of Indigenous Origin. It will be held August 17-20, 2023 at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland, 1000 NE Multnomah St., Portland, OR 97232.
PNMC is accepting submissions from playwrights and episodic writers to submit their scripts. They are accepting submissions from filmmakers in the following categories: Film Shorts, Docu-Shorts, Full Length Documentary, Feature Narrative and Web episodic.
SUBMISSIONS CLOSE: April 8, 2023.
