Portland Police Special Emergency Reaction Team arrested Devante Levelle Jackson, June 13, 2014, and charged him with a May 24 shooting in the 400 block of Southeast 127th Avenue.

Jackson has been charged with Attempted Aggravated Murder, Attempted Murder, Attempted Assault in the First Degree, Attempted Assault in the Second Degree, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.  He was taken to juvenile detention at the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Home.

Police say they seized a handgun during the raid on Jackson’s home in the 500 block of Northeast 75th Avenue. Witnesses at the scene of the shooting identified Jackson, police say. The shooting is believed to be gang related.
