Matt Dishman Indoor Pool Re-Opens

Portland Parks and Recreation has announced the completion of construction on Matt Dishman Community Center’s indoor pool. The indoor pool re-opened Saturday, Oct. 8. PPR invites families to a celebration reopening of the pool Oct. 21. 

Work included resurfacing the pool, which addressed hollow locations behind the plaster and cracks in the sub-surface of the pool floor and replaced the filtering systems.  The new replacement spa will be re-opening for public use in another 1-2 weeks.  We think it will be worth the wait, as the new spa will be twice as big!  Thank you, community, for your support and patience during this work.

All are invited to join Commissioner Amanda Fritz and Matt Dishman Community Center in celebrating the re-opening of the pool and spa at a special Family Night celebration, Friday Oct. 21

• Friday, October 21, 6pm – 8pm
• Free swimming and cake after the ribbon-cutting!
• Free family activities!
