Children's march printmaking event

Don’t Shoot Portland will host collaborative printmaking and art from noon - 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19 at Pacific Northwest College of Art, 511 NW Broadway. Participants will make signs and artwork for the #ReclaimMLK Annual Children's March to be held on Jan. 20. No printmaking skills are necessary and all are welcome. Meet in PNCA's printmaking studios, 2nd floor.

On Sunday, Jan. 20 Don’t Shoot will host the 5th Annual Reclaim MLK March for Human Rights & Dignity. Children lead with parents, community, and neighbors supporting the promotion of free speech and social change. The Children’s Art and Social Justice is joining forces with several community groups, unions, sponsors and partner organizations. At the event, organizers will be collecting food and clothing to be distributed to local families throughout the year.

The march will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. starting at Peninsula Park, 700 N Rosa Parks Way.
