The Black Male Town Hall will be available for the public to watch live at Commissioner Hardesty Facebook Page starting at 6 pm.

Later this evening on March 30 at 6 pm, Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty and Mayor Ted Wheeler will host a Black Male Town Hall listening session, facilitated by PPB Equity & Inclusion Manager Marlon Marion and Gresham City Councilman Vince Jones-Dixon.

Participants registered in advance and RSVPs were open to all Black Male and Black Male identifying Portlanders between the ages of 14-44 so that elected leaders can hear directly from a demographic that is statistically the population most impacted by enhanced policing. A news release from Hardesty's office states that It’s imperative to hear directly from those most affected prior to investments being made to rethink community safety and reduce gun violence in the Portland metro area.
