PORTLAND, OR - Friday, February 17, 2023 at 4 p.m. at 1259 Lloyd Center, Multnomah County Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH) is inviting Black community members to join a fun and family-friendly five-mile bike ride. This event is a celebration of Black History Month and is designed for Black Portlanders and Black/African immigrants and refugees to experience the joy of riding bikes with kinfolk.

BIKETOWN is providing loaner ebikes for the first 30 participants aged 16 and older who RSVP. Legacy Health is providing free helmets and Metro is providing free bike lights. Sweet Rolling Cuisine will provide healthy snacks and smoothies before the ride.

The ride – happening rain or shine – will be led by Stephanie Blume, Multnomah County REACH Community Health Specialist, and will visit the Keaton Otis Memorial Art Project, AfroVillage headquarters, and the Golden West Hotel.

This event is being organized in partnership with: The Street Trust, BIKETOWN, Multnomah County's Prevention and Health Promotion, Community Adolescent Health and REACH Programs.
