The Rose Festival Princess from Jefferson High School is Kobi Flowers.

On Tuesday, March 19, 2024, Kobi was named a Princess of this year's Court. Kobi is a senior at Jefferson High School and expects to graduate this June. After graduation, Kobi is considering becoming an Anesthesiologist or Pharmacist.

Kobi looks forward to the opportunity to continue serving her community on the Court. “It would be a privilege to represent Jefferson and my community as a member of the 2024 Rose Festival Court,” says Kobi. “Being a young Black American Woman, I believe the Rose Festival Court would give me the opportunity to amplify my voice. I take being a role model very seriously, and I feel that this would give me the chance to do just that. By representing Jefferson, I’m representing leadership, community involvement, and young girls coming behind me.

Looking ahead to the Portland Rose Festival, Kobi’s favorite event of the season is the Grand Floral Parade. Kobi shares, “My favorite Rose Festival event is the Grand Floral Parade!! I love the feeling of the community coming together and bonding over the annual event. Coming together for this event there is something for everyone, no matter how old you are.”
