A modern ritual for women will be created during the Women of Wisdom Foundation's 14th annual conference Sunday, Feb. 26, at Magnuson Park, 7400 Sandpoint Way N.E.

During the conference, local author and educator Gloria J. Burgess will speak on "Legacy: Co-Creating a Covenant with the Future" from 1 to 3 p.m. Burgess will be joined by the Rev. Jane Smallman and Bergith Kayyali as they co-create a modern ritual for women.

Through the ritual process, workshop participants will spend time discovering how to bring their signature gifts to their communities, families and workplaces.

A producer, speaker, consultant, performance coach and founder and principal of Jazz Inc., Burgess has produced an audiotape and is a contributing author to compilations of poetry, essays, photos and artwork. Her latest book, Legacy Living: The Six Covenants for Personal and Professional Excellence, is a guide to creating and living one's legacy.

The workshop's fee is $10; however, no one will be denied admission due to lack of funds. For more information, call 206-782-3363 or visit www.womenofwisdom.org.
