On Wednesday, June 3, from 6 – 7 p.m., Evergreen Public Schools' Superintendent John Deeder and Chief Financial Officer Mike Merlino will host a live webcast to discuss the budget reductions facing the district.
Deeder and Merlino will do a presentation on the budget and will then open up the phone lines and email for questions which they will answer as they come in.
"The Legislature has come out with some firmer numbers and we have a better idea of what we will be reducing for next year," says Deeder. "We felt that it was important to open up this opportunity for the community to discuss with us and ask questions about what these specific reductions mean prior to the School Board's approval of the budget in August."
To log on to the webcast, go to the district website at www.evergreenps.org The call-in number will be provided at the beginning of the webcast. The webcast will be simulcast on Channel 28 and 29. Questions can be sent in before and during the webcast to: budget@egreen.wednet.edu.
